Skyros is the southernmost island of the Northern Sporades and is located\u00a0east of Evia.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/div>
It is about 24 miles from Kymi in Evia, from where the ferry boat Achilleas runs daily.\u00a0<\/div>
It is\u00a0the largest island of the Northern Sporades<\/strong>\u00a0and its area reaches 210 square kilometres.<\/div>

The island is characterized by strong contrasts<\/b>, has hills with pine trees, rocky mountainous landscapes, idyllic secluded beaches, beautiful coves, extensive beaches, sea caves, the Natura area in the southern part, composing a natural and full of variations relief.<\/div>

With a long history<\/strong>, Skyros has always been a place that has preserved its tradition and authenticity.\u00a0<\/div>
Visitors to the island will admire the local architecture, the elaborate wood carvings, the Byzantine-themed ceramics.\u00a0<\/div>
In the all-white houses of Chora, stuck next to each other, you will be impressed with their special decoration.<\/div>
It is also well known for the\u00a0Scythian horse,<\/strong>\u00a0which we do not find anywhere else in the world and which is depicted on the front of the Parthenon.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>

The agricultural products of Skyros are exquisite, due to the fact that traditional methods of production are largely used.\u00a0<\/div>
Cheese, honey, herbs, meat, fish and seafood are the raw materials for the\u00a0Dog food<\/strong>\u00a0that will impress you for its quality.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>
The combination of mountain and sea\u00a0<\/strong>offers the opportunity to practice many sports such as hiking in beautiful natural paths, climbing, mountaineering, climbing, cycling, wind surfing, water skiing, diving, while it is also suitable for off-road routes by motorbike or 4\u00d74 vehicles.
